Perler Beads (Not Just For Kids!)
Perler Bead Crafts
Perler beads are a type of craft where you use special beads to create designs on a peg board which is ironed to complete your special project. Just four easy steps and... voila! You're done!
The possibilities are endless with perler beads! You can make anything you wish, using the Idea Guide's designs, or using your own imagination and coming up with something new to make. With the reusable peg boards and iron paper, you can use your beads to create any pattern or design!
Overall, the perler bead projects are simple to make, a lot of fun, and definitely not just for kids!
It takes four, simple steps to create a perler bead project.
Steps on how to make a Perler Bead Project
Step 1
First pick a pegboard to use. Next carefully place the beads on the pegboard. You can follow the idea booklet or make whatever you want! BE CREATIVE!
Step 2
Preheat your dry iron to a medium setting. Next very carefully bring your project to your ironing surface. Be careful not to bump your beads off on your way there! Iron gently and level with your iron, using the special paper provided, so you don't melt the beads. (If you are a young crafter, make sure you have an adult's help and BE CAREFUL!)
Step 3
When your project is cool flip it upside down onto your ironing surface.
Step 4
Once your bead project is upside down on your surface iron the other side as well. This is so your project is evenly fused.
Congratulations! You have made a perler bead project!

FrogPoodleTop - I made a plain circle then put a toothpick through the middle!Tick Tack Toe - This one I took a smallsquare and made different color triangles for the pieces.(You can make a large square if needed or wanted. With the large square you can make x's and o's. In the small square version you can't fit acctual x's or o's. So I just made do.)DogTurtleSnailAngel3-D ProjectsStar - I made two identical stars and made one line and circle in the middle. After they were ironed I just slid them into each other.
